What is CSA?
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a partnership between a farmer and a community of supporters. It provides a direct link between the production and consuption of food. Members make a commitment up-front for an entire growing season by buying a "share" of the farm's production. In return, farmers provide members with a fresh supply of vegetables from each week's harvest.
Why CSA?
Why not? It's environmentally green! By supporting your local CSA farmer, you help keep money in the local economy by buying locally grown food and supporting your neighborhood farmer at the same time. You know your food is grown close to home and not trucked in from miles away.
